Before joining the financial services industry in 2001, Michael spent almost 10 years in London, England working for companies such as Hertz Europe and Johnson & Johnson in their Sales & Marketing Departments taking on roles as Marketing Manager and Global Business Development Manager.
He is originally from Denmark with a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Economics from University of Copenhagen (a.k.a. cand. polit.).
Michael is married to a native Hawaiian, Jennifer and they have one son, Sebastian and a Chocolate Labrador, Kona.
He has a passion for traveling and has been to more than 40 countries so far. Outside of work, Michael enjoy the cultural scene and reading. In the sporting area Michael lives to play squash, badminton, tennis, golf and of course soccer! Michael is fluent in Danish, English, Norwegian and Swedish and has a working knowledge of French and German.
He specializes in international financial planning (often referred to as cross-border financial planning). International financial planning covers areas such as Financial Position, Protection Planning, Investment Planning, Tax Strategies, Retirement Planning & Estate Strategies.
Edcelyn began her career in financial services in 2003 when she discovered that she can make a positive impact in people’s lives and help them achieve their goals.
After working as a project manager and consulting for AT&T, DHL, Providian and a couple of start up companies over a fifteen year period, Edcelyn made the transition into financial planning.
Edcelyn is passionate about empowering the individual. She works with Filipina Women’s Network to develop programs for leadership and professional development. She is a mentor to young professionals. In addition, she is a member of a committee in San Francisco, working with the District Attorney’s office, on anti-bullying. In August 2012, she was awarded “100 Most influential Filipina Women” by Filipina Women’s Network. Her community involvement, also, includes leadership roles with "Best of the East Bay" Primo's Run for Education as committee chair. In September 2012, she joined the Board of Directors of Filipina Women’s Network.
She and her husband, Cesar, have enjoyed raising their two beautiful children in Danville. As empty nesters, they love to explore the “treasures” of the Bay Area.
