Everyone deserves an independent Certified Financial Planner™ who they can trust.

Passion, integrity, and a desire to make their client’s lives more enriched through purposeful financial planning became the driving factor for the merger and alignment of Michael B Hansen and Pamela Jacobs practices. Both have a strong passion around financial planning and a fiduciary commitment to their clients well beings.

In this global economy, and complex world, we have found the burden has become increasingly high on the individual to master their own financial destiny. At Frontier Wealth Strategies, we don’t feel this should be the norm. We strive to be at the forefront with regards to knowledge and strategies that could benefit our clients. Hence our name.

Our belief is everyone deserves an independent, Certified Financial Planner®, who they can trust and who has their best interest top of mind - always.

So why would you want a CFP and what does it all really mean? To put it bluntly, not all financial planners are alike and understanding the differences can help you make a more informed decision when looking for assistance with your finances.

  • A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP), receives a formal designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. after passing an initial exam and then completes annual exams to maintain their skills and certification.

  • A CFP has expertise in the many areas of financial planning, such as taxes, retirement planning, investments, insurance, and estate planning.

  • CFPs are held to a higher ethical standard and are expected to act as a fiduciary of your assets and their recommendations, which means making decisions always with your best interest first and foremost.

    • Fiduciary – a person or organization which acts on behalf of another person or persons, putting the clients’ interests ahead of their own, with a duty to preserve good faith and trust.  Being a fiduciary thus requires being bound both legally and ethically to act in the other’s best interest.[1]

At FWS all of our advisors are CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERS® (CFP), and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are building a firm with stands on integrity, high ethical practices, and a true passion for the client and their financial goals.
